Madonna paid tribute to Michael Jackson on Saturday night in the same arena where he was to stage his comeback, dancing along with an impersonator doing Jackson's distinctive moves.
Jackson, who died last week, was to begin a series of 50 concerts at the 23,000-seat O2 starting July 13. A picture of a young Michael Jackson appeared on stage while Madonna was performing "Holiday," then the impersonator came on, wearing a sequined jacket, white T-shirt, white glove and white socks in the Jackson manner.
The impersonator's appearance would not have surprised anyone paying close attention to Madonna's Web site, which had a picture of him dancing in rehearsal. An estimated crowd of 17,000, including the fashion designer Valentino, turned out for Madonna's concert, the first of two this weekend in London on her "Sticky & Sweet" tour.

The 50-year-old pop artist (Micheal Jackson) suffered cardiac arrest at his Holmby Hills mansion this afternoon. He was in L.A. rehearsing for a series of upcoming shows in London.
Paramedics found Jackson in cardiac arrest when they arrived at his home shortly before 12:30 p.m., three minutes and 17 seconds after receiving a 911 call. His personal physician was already in the house performing CPR. Jackson was not breathing, and it appears he never regained consciousness. Paramedics treated Jackson at the house for 42 minutes, and he was declared dead at 2:26 p.m. at UCLA Medical Center, about two miles from his home above Sunset Boulevard.
The doctor was reported to have injected Jackson with a powerful painkiller Demerol just before he died and left Jackson's mansion after administering CPR to the stricken star. Here come the whole report..
"LOS ANGELES - A lawyer for the doctor who was with Michael Jackson when he died says the physician found the entertainer in his bed with a faint pulse.
Houston attorney Edward Chernoff (CHUR-noff) says in an interview Sunday (28/June/09) with The Associated Press that Dr. Conrad Murray went into Jackson's bedroom and saw that he wasn't breathing.
Chernoff says Jackson was still warm and had a faint pulse and that the doctor immediately began administering CPR.
Chernoff says Murray suggested to Jackson's family that an autopsy be performed. He adds that the doctor did not prescribe or give Jackson the drugs Demerol or Oxycontin. The lawyer says any drugs Murray prescribed were given in response to a specific complaint from the 50-year-old entertainer."
Jackson's death has sent fans scrambling to stock up on his music, and British chart officials said a compilation album of the star's greatest hits had rocketed to the top of the charts on Sunday.

Goodness!!! Gotten this long deep scratch mark on my right arm when I was irritating Bridget!!! After a few minutes, it got swollen up. It was damn itchy and painful as it was bleeding. Lolx. Once again, we ate breakfast at Central's McDonalds around four this morning!!! This time there's Meiyu, Jackal, Me, Bridget & Huiling. We ordered the $2.50 meal since we don't really feel like eating anything much. We spread our burger with butter & grape jam and it already tasted weird enough.. but for our very own Bridget, she added butter, grape jam & pepper. After breakfast, we accompanied meiyu to the polyclinic because she's getting a MC for today to excuse her from work to attend for her friend's funeral. Actually planned to meet Huiling for a bake muffin session at Xinzi's place but our plan failed because both of us over slept!!! Tired. Anyway, the job that I interviewed for confirmed my post and asked me to meet them this Thursday at the office and when everything is confirmed I'll be able to start work this coming Tuesday!!! Damn great!!! =)

Went for my job interview this morning. The interview went fine. Seems pretty high chance of getting in. Gotta wait for them to call up. Met Bridget, Huiling and Adeline at Tampines. We went to the new shopping mall (Tampines 1) which is directly located beside Tampines transit station. There's these new Japanese store called "UNIQLO" that you gotta queue to get in the store itself. We waited for quite a while to get in. The stuff there, i dunno whether i should say it's nice or perhaps not very nice. Just some what brighter and more prints?? Adeline said that the girls department could be compared with THIS FASHION!!! Hee. What a comment. But i do agreed that it's pretty much THIS FASHION style. Headed town after Tampines since we've got nothing better to do. Bridget & Huiling's school break ending real soon.. so, dun think we're able to see each other as much like now. Gonna miss them =p
